How we began our forever

Where It All Began

We met at a cozy local pub.

December 24, 2022

The Journey Together

From hiking in Yosemite to exploring the historic streets of Rome, we realized that life's adventures were infinitely better when shared. We adopted our golden retriever, Barnaby, who quickly became the center of our lives.

June 21, 2025

The Proposal

Pushkar proposed at sunset on a secluded beach, our favorite getaway. With soft acoustic guitar music playing and candles glowing, he got down on one knee. Helen, laughing and crying all at once, said yes!

To kick off the wedding celebrations, you’re invited to a relaxed evening by the backwaters featuring local entertainment and a traditional sadya feast.

Join us for an evening Mehendi, a chance for guests to have traditional henna applied. Look forward to live music, garden games, and cocktails by the water.

Haldi Ceremony

The Coconut Grove & Pavilion

Join us in the morning as we gather for the auspicious Haldi ceremony - a playful ritual where turmeric paste is applied to the bride and groom. Expect plenty of dancing, playful games, and a lot of colour!

Sangeet Night

The Grand Backwater Pavilion

Step into the Sangeet and dance under the stars with an evening of Bollywood anthems, group performances, and live food stations. Bring your moves and your best outfits!

Ceremony & Reception

Kumarakom Lake Resort

The wedding ceremony will begin with a baraat procession followed by the seven pheras at sunset overlooking Vembanad Lake. The evening will culminate in a formal reception where we will dance, feast and celebrate our first night as a married couple.

We are delighted to host you at the beautiful Kumarakom Lake Resort. Set on the banks of the Vembanad Lake, the resort is a blend of traditional Kerala charm and modern amenities. No need to contact the hotel or pay for these nights - your entire 4-night stay is covered.

Cochin International Airport (Kochi)

Kochi (COK) is the closest international airport to Kumarakom Lake Resort. For guests coming from the UK, we recommend flying from Heathrow to Kochi with a transfer in Hyderabad as a high-frequency, reliable route. For onward transportation from the airport, Uber is widely available and highly recommended.

Some helpful information for our guests

Is our accommodation covered?
Yes, your stay at Kumarakom Lake Resort from 22nd to 26th November 2027 will be covered.
How do I travel to the venue?
Transfers will be arranged from Kochi to Kumarakom Lake Resort and back again. Details will be confirmed closer to the time. Check-in at the resort is from 2pm on November 22nd and check-out is before noon on November 26th.
Do I need a visa to come to Kerala?
If you do not have an Indian passport or OCI card then you will need an e-visa. Entry requirements can be found here: https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/india/entry-requirements. If the form asks for an address in India, please provide Kumarakom Lake Resort. Please note, you will receive an email confirmation of the e-visa approval—you must print a copy of this email and bring it with you in order to board your flight.
Is there a dress code?
In the schedule section of our website, each event includes a dress code that can be used as a general guide. For those unfamiliar with Indian wedding attire, reach out to us directly and we would be happy to help you with guidance. Comfort is our priority, so feel free to mix and match Indian and Western styles.
What weather should I expect?
November is usually hot and sunny (around 25-30°C). Morning Haldi will be shaded, and all other events begin after 5PM in the cooler evenings.
What is the gifts policy?
Please note that we have chosen a no-gifts policy for our wedding. Your blessings, wishes, and presence to celebrate with us in Kerala are the only gifts we request.

Please submit your RSVP form via this website by 30 November 2026.
